Gary was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving his country aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard aircraft carrier. After the military he worked for 30 years as a manufacturing engineer for AirResearch/Honeywell Aerospace. Following retirement he volunteered for the Sun City AZ Sheriff’s Posse for over 10 years.
Gary had many hobbies he enjoyed, including playing his Les Paul guitar; riding quads and fishing with friends in Forest Lakes; and especially his 1926 T-Bucket hot rod.
Among his many accomplishments and successes, his greatest success and love was being a wonderful husband, the best dad and grandpa.
Gary is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda; daughters Trish, Julie (Chris), Sheri (Preston); grandchildren Stephanie, Amber, Tyler, Brenden, Amanda, Regina; and three great-grandchildren. Preceding Gary by only a short time was his beloved granddaughter Angel Macie.
Graveside services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Friday, December 6 at 12:30 pm.
